WINTER SOLSTICE -
This is the shortest day of the year. The seasonal energy is
one of introspection and rest.
VERNAL EQUINOX -
This is a time when day and night are equal in length.
The seasonal energy is fresh and abundant. This is a good time
to begin projects.
SUMMER SOLSTICE -
This is the longest day of the year. The energy of the year has
peaked and from this point forward the energy shifts toward
completing projects.
AUTUMNAL EQUINOX - This is a time when day and night are equal in length. This is
the time to harvest that which you have been working on all year.
Cross Quarters
Cross Quarters are
important for individuals who follow Earth based religions.
The cross quarters are the time between two major seasonal shifts.
There are at least two ways to calculate Cross Quarters.
One is based on a
calendar date when this Cross Quarter has been historically observed and is
labeled as (Cal).
The second way is by
calculating the date using astrology and is labeled (Ast).
For your convenience
we offer both calculations. You will be notified in both the "Weekly

October Cross
Quarter This Cross Quarter is called many names including
Halloween and Samhain. The calendar date for this event is October
31. The astrological date for this cross quarter is when the Sun
enters 15 degrees Scorpio.
February Cross
Quarter This Cross Quarter is called many names including Ostara
and Bride's Day. The calendar date for this event is February 1st.
The astrological date for this cross quarter is when the Sun enters
15 degrees Aquarius.
May Cross Quarter
This Cross Quarter is called many names including Beltane and May
Eve. The calendar date for this event is May 1. The astrological
date for this cross quarter is when the Sun enters 15 degrees
Taurus.
August Cross Quarter
This Cross Quarter is called many names including Lammas and
Lughnasadh. The calendar date for this event is August 1st. The
astrological date for this cross quarter is when the Sun enters 15
degrees Leo.
